Hello Crafty Carnival fans! My name is Stacey Ball and I will be guest posting today to share with you an exciting event that is happening RIGHT NOW!
First, let me introduce you to Getty Amelia Storm.
Getty is a 1 year old little girl that is battling SMA1, Spinal Muscular Atrophy. SMA1 is slowly robbing Getty of muscle strength, weakening her body and making her extremely vulnerable. SMA1 comes with a typical life expectancy of 2-3 years. It is the number 1 genetic killer of children, and yet most have never heard of it. Today, we want to change that!
Through an amazing chain of events some wonderful people named Angela and Alex Dezen of The Damnwells have released an album of lullabies in tribute to Getty. Sweet Water Child - Lullabies for Getty is available for purchase on iTunes.
This album costs just $10 and the proceeds go to The Getty Owl Foundation. This foundation was established to help other families, like the Storms, with a diagnosis of SMA as well as provide financial assistance to find a cure!!
