I'm baaackkkkk!!! :)

Let's see if I still know how to use this thing.  :)  I went from being a Full time crafter to a full time car sales person!  Who knew that was even a thing?!?  I mean... you can't make this stuff up.  So now I sell cars full time.  I love it.  I went to school to be a teacher, and ended up as a top producer for Ford.  But I'm back to my crafty roots, and I've been crafting up some fun jewelry!  Nothing expensive... just fun stuff.  And I wanted to share with my old Buddies!!!  (And for the record, I can't wait to get my own office some day... where I can display a doll or bear or two :)

Look at my etsy shop guys and let me know what you like, what you don't like... what you want to see more of, and so on.  And don't forget to get one of those 2016 printable calanders!!  LOL!  I should remove that listing, right?

I listed this doll in my etsy shop as available for custom orders:

 

And then I got an order for a girl with light brown hair and FRECKLES!  She likes teal/blue, so that would be great for her skirt :)  And I happen to know this little girl like Country Music, so I made that skirt out of a handkerchief ;)  And this is the result:

This pattern is 9 pages long because it includes SIXTEEN pictures to help you along the way!  So if you are new to making dolls, or you just like pictures, you will love this pattern.

You can now SELL the items that you create from CC patterns!

Hi my crafty friends!!  I have GREAT NEWS!  You can now SELL the items that you create from Crafty Carnival Patterns!  For the past several years, my patterns have been for personal use only.  But I've recently decided that times are tough, and we could all use a few extra dollars to help fund our crafty habits :)  So therefore, I've decided to change my usage policy.  

The long story short is that you can sell anything you make from my patterns (both free patterns and paid patterns) online or in a craft booth as long as you personally made the item :)  I have asked that you please link back to my blog here if you do decide to sell, but other than that there are very few limitations!  You can read the full pattern usage here.  There is a permanent link as well over on the right hand side under patterns.

There is also an opportunity for you to have your blog, website or shop listed on my sidebar as a Crafty Carnival Creator.  My hope is that this will help to drive traffic towards your shops that you can sell your finished products more easily.  The information on that is also listed on the usage page.

Crafty weekend in Sacramento, Ca!

This is a fun and busy weekend in Sacramento coming up!

On Friday, June 10th, Sacramento Etsy-ians are getting together and Fremont Park to celebrate Etsy's nation wide CRAFT PARTY!! (read more about it on the Etsy blog here) Come on down with a pot luck dish to share and any unwanted craft items for the swap.  You may also want to bring a blanket or chair to sit on!  This is a great opportunity to network!  here is the meet up page, and all the info you could need or want :)

Amy of Indie Sacramento had been a big part of making this happen!  I <3 her. 



 

And on Saturday, June 11th, The Getty Owl craft fair called GETTY CRAFY will be at Fremont Park from 10 am - 3 pm.  Check out the facebook pages for all the info you could wish for as well as links to the vendors.  This is for sure going to be a FABULOUS craft fair.  I can't wait!!  Stacey has been a big part of this event and <3 her too :)

 

Summer might finally be here!

We had an all  night craft party last Thursday night.  It was my, my ten year old, and two seven year olds (who ended up camping out in the craft room!).  The girls made pillows and some plushy monsters from the Easiest monster pattern ever (and about a half a dozen of that craft where you melt those little plastic beads with an iron). It was the last day of school, and the first day of summer vacation! :)  Here's a quick pick of the cards I made for my Daiys's first grade teachers:  they got Target gift cards.  (My older daughter made her teacher's card.  which i LOVED but didn't get a picture of :(!)

 

 And I made this cute little bear in between helping the girls with their crafty-ness.

 

 

I listed him in my etsy shop, and also I finally listed some announcements and some more contact cards.  Cute!  Thanks for looking!

 

 

The MOST wonderful 10 year old I know!

So... my oldest turned double digits this last week.  She's 10 now.  I wanted to make it really special for her, so I thought and I thought and I thought... and I came up with this:  She's a perfect 10!  That's when I knew I needed to have a special announcement card made for her.  Something I could send out to my friends and family, and hers, and my husband's, to show just how proud we really are of her. 

 

 

I did a mini photo shoot with her, and picked a few great pics... and then I wrote a poem to print on the back... and re-wrote it, and then re-wrote it 5 more times.  Yes.  balling the whole time of course.

 

 
 

I'm so happy with the way these turned out, that I'm going to add announcements to my shop :)  As well as contact cards!  I've always wanted a contact card that wasn't my business card.  That way I didn't feel like I'm shoving my business down the throat of my kids' friend's moms!  LOL!  So I started with these contact cards for G.  That way she can hand em out to her friends on the last day of school so they can keep in contact over summer.  She might be a LITTLE young for these, so if given a second chance... I would leave her last name off.  And I think she needs a different email address that is more incognito.  But these will do for now ;)
