Summin' up the People's BUNNY!

THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who voted for the people's choice bunny!  HE is now underway!  Here's the summary: 

The People's Choice Bunny is going to be made of short pink mohair with small black eyes, and short arms, long legs, and a long fat body.  He will have no tail, something other than a bow for embellishment, he'll be a little bit distressed, and he will be PACKED so full of personality!

The pink shown here is what I plan on using to make him.  It looks very very old and I picked out some small distressed shoe buttons for eyes.  I've got some pipe cleaners for the inside of his ears, and I'm now on the hunt for the fabric I'll use for the inside of his ears.  It has to be something manly of course!  :) 

I just can't wait to get started on this project, and I can't  thank you all enough for the votes and the encouragement!  I will be posting his picture here the MINUTE he is finished!  Thank you again!

The People's Choice Teddy Bear

LOL! I thought of this cool idea.... I want to do a little mini challenge for myself, and make a bear based on
the answers to a series of questions... and I want you all to answer the  questions!  So here's how it works! As you read through this post, figure out which question needs to be answered next, and leave an answer for that question... answer only one question at a time, and answer them in
order... when all of the questions have been answered, I'll make the bear and put a picture of her on here!  Please answer the questions, by leaving a coment on this post!

I got my BROOCH SWAP!

I recently did a brooch swap hosted by Claire of little lovelies.   My partner is Heidi of Everyday cookies!

Heidi sent me the cutest basket!  And in it were not 1, but 2 brooches and some adorable tags with sewing pins, and candy!

I'm afraid she got the short end of the stick since I only sent her 1 brooch and no candy!!!  I'm new to this swap thing so I really didn't know what to expect...and I think what I found out is this.... 1)  I had an AWESOME swap partner and 2)always send candy!

LOL!  Anyway, I LOVE my brooches, the yellow flower will match my new bike, so I will be wearing that FOR SURE, and the crocheted little flower will look so cute pinned to my denim take along bag!  And as for the candy... well all of it is not pictured, since I ate some :)  so, thanks again HEIDI!  I hope your package arrives soon too!

A great big huge THANK YOU to Natalie for bloggin about me in the craftzine.com blog!  It means so much to be featured in an off the hook funky and fun blog like this!  Thanks again!  And another great big THANK YOU to Marie of The Sampler for bringing my stuff to her attention!  I was lucky enough to meet Marie at a Sacramento Craft Mafia meeting and she is super sweet and spunky and I can't wait to get to know her better!  And did I mention that she's super wise too.... that's right folks... total package!

Updates and Cool Sites

It's been a while since I last posted.... but man oh man.... I have been a busy little bee!

These bears and bunny here what I have forsale now.  I'm off to go put them on  my website now, and they are also on Glitter and Grunge (except for the big green bear... she's new.)

I really really love the way the white bunny turned out, but it's really hard to get good pics of white.

In other news.... (LOL)  The GLITTERY side of Glitter and Grunge was updated yesterday.  We have some fabulous new artists.  I couldn't be prouder to be part of such a wonderful group of artists.  If you think you would like to be a part of the group, please just email me, and I'll give you the info!

Also, I really want to thank everyone who comments on my blog.  I feel so special to recieve comments, and it lets me know that you are out there, and I love reading your blogs in return.  I don't always comment, because I'm sort of a lurker at heart....so I apologize in advance, and I promise to try and be better about that... is it too late for a new year's resolution??? LOL!

And finally.... there are two things I think you'll have fun checkin out on the web:  first this website cracks me up.... I want the sticker for my truck.  It's called savethetatas.com... but I wish more of the money went to breast cancer research... so I kinda feel like it's exploitive BUT then on the other hand... SOMETHING is better than nothing right!!!!???   so, I haven't bought anything... but I still think it's funny.  What do you think?

The last one is the most important.  Go read this blog because it's cute and endearing, and there's great projects.  But go read this post because it's important.  Sad? yes, Depressing? yes... but still... important  :)
