I have been so busy working that I have neglected my hobbies. I love to sew and I love to blog, but sometimes these things become work too... which is actually a good thing! It's so satisfying to be able to sell the things I make because then I don't feel guilty when I leave the dishes in the sink over night, or the laundry unfolded on the couch... cause let's face it... I'd be sewing no matter what... at least when I sell something... I feel like that's the same as if a "real job" were taking me away from my chores! So anyway... here's what I have been "working" on this last week or so.
I am so flattered to have been accepted as part of a show called Plush You. It's my first year, so I don't really know what to expect. But I was allowed to send in 3 pieces, and then those pieces are displayed in one of three boutiques in Seattle. My bears are going to be displayed in Fancy + Pants. These are 2/3 pieces I sent, so if you are in the Seattle area... check them out!! :)
I also wanted to say hi to Funky Finds! Her blog is super cute and totally supports all of that indie art we are all trying to sell! LOL! I found this INSANELY cute and dazzling blog (Candice Carpenter) there, and I can't wait until I have more time to go thru and read all the old posts! So check her out if you get a chance.
Handmade Parade is coming up in a few weeks (Oct. 13th) so I have a lot more "work" to do... but I'm hoping to be able to update here with some pics of the stuff I'm working on until then :)
Oh... and p.s. I didn't take any pics of that midtown festival that I did last weekend. But it was so awesome! The crowds were insanely thick... the weather was pretty cool, and I'd do it again in a heart beat. If you must see a picture.. you can see one in the comments of my myspace page. Rain left it for me :) Thanks RAIN! I think I'm like doing the chapstick thing with my lips cause I wasn't mad, I sware! LOLOLOL!
